Ryan Kwanten Mambo/True Blood 6-30-12

We were able to meet Ryan Kwanten who has a clothing line Mambo at Boston Store and is an actor on HBO's True Blood.  He was so sweet and friendly and loved his real accent.  This was his 1st time here in Milwaukee and was going to our large music fest Summerfest.  Hope he enjoyed our city!

When it was my turn to talk to him, my camera decided to stop working and their photographer took our pic, but has not yet posted it.  I had replaced the batteries and the nice manager Tami was able to get me back in line to get my pic on my camera.  Got to hug Ryan some more.  I was so excited to meet him, he 1st said to me "wow, you are so enthusiastic", and yes I was, lol.  I offered my hand to meet him, asked for a hug and then was supposed to take pic, but got another pic hug later.  :)

Bye, Bye to my white Saturn Ion, sniff, sniff

My Saturn was a 2007, had it since 2009 and the warranty is no longer.  I still have 3 yrs pymt for the loan and thought that maybe I can get a newer car for not too much more and a full warranty.
My daughter was always having cars breaking down and honestly was getting VERY expensive to fix, 1 thing after another, sad no more, so she was able to also get one.  Couldn't believe we both bought cars from same dealer on the same say, just dif style, lol.  This will never happen again!
I still love my Saturns, the both served me good.  Had they stayed in business, would have went back, oh well.

Do you like it?

Help Keep Our Site Alive!  BITTEN BY BOOKS

Help a fellow blogger and friend keep her amazing blog BITTEN BY BOOKS  alive, see how below:

It is our annual fund raiser for Bitten by Books. This is where we ask you to support the site you love in one of a few ways. These funds help us pay for server upgrades, shipping books to reviewers, packing supplies and other associated costs to keep the site alive for another year. All of our staff are volunteers, so this fundraiser is important and anything you can do to help out is great.
There are several ways to help out.

#1 – Some of you may already know we have a sister site that ALL of the proceeds from it go to Bitten by Books, it is called A Charming Time (Link on right side) My son and I make all the jewelry by hand. Even if you don’t wear jewelry, it is always great to have something on hand for gifts, graduation, early holiday shopping or a just because for a friend. AND right now you can take 50% off everything in our store! That’s right, 50%!! Just use code: SPRINGCLEANOUT50 the code can be used multiple times while the sale is going on. If you live internationally, just send us a message from the site with the item (s) you would like and we will give you a shipping estimate. We don’t know when the sale will end so shop NOW for the best items and while the deal lasts.

#2 a love donation through paypal. You can send a donation to

#3 if you are an author or publisher consider purchasing an ad from us. If you mention this email, you will qualify for a VERY special discount. Here is our email for those wishing for more information on advertising.

#4 Use this link to buy anything on Amazon anytime you order from them.

This gives us a very tiny commission from the sale of whatever you bought.

Thank you for your continued support over the last 4 and a half years, you help make what Bitten by Books is today and we are all grateful for it!

Lookie at what I won........

WOOHOO, I am SO VERY EXCITED to have won just for bidding on Brenda Novak's Annual Online Auction for Diabetes Research: Congratulations to Dina Stornello, who won this year's grand prize of an iMac (or a PC of equal value) and an Advanced Reading Copy of my new book, WHEN LIGHTNING STRIKES, the beginning of my Whiskey Creek small town contemporary series due out next fall.

All I did was bid on things that I would like to have for myself or gifts and to help try to find a cure. I do need a new computer too as mine is getting old and slooooooow.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Brenda Novak for offering this wonderful prize and having the auction!!

I am so happy, can't wait to get it and play with it!!!!!!
